Q: Any way round the related work experience?

So, I got a job offer while I was in Shanghai, China just a few weeks ago. I live in the UK and i'm currently back in the UK, so I have to apply for the employment license. When I accepted the job, they told me I need atleast 2 years work experience and I told them I have 2 years work experience but it isn't related to the job. They then told me “previous work experience doesn’t have to be related to the new job. It would be preferable, of course, but almost impossible for most candidates.”

When I gave the documents needed to the person in charge of my employment license application, he told me I MUST have related work experience otherwise I wont be able to apply for the employment license.

I also should have mentioned, the job is a IT related job and I do have a IT related degree.

so I'm wondering if there is any way around not having related work experience to the job to get an employment license?

Thank you

if your employer wants you bad enough, he will enhance your resume with eloquent exaggerations, but i dont recommend the employee do this to save your from your own conscious. i know training schools that have fake degrees for teachers, had one rapper wanna be piece of excrement showed a fake yale degree and still works in china. karma did get him, so all is well.

Yeah a friend of mine just got into iSpeak English training center with a fake degree and got a Z visa, i was shocked the Shenzhen labor department didn't catch him in the act, it had no seal or security ink on it, I guess they didn't flash a black light over it.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
