I dont think some would give for free a fridge. Although, there is a group on wechat where you can buy second hand staff. Check The Bambu 2nd hand: I maybe you can find it there.

I got frost free socks ....  from my time in Heilongjiang . 

 

Just get new fridge and disconnect freezer. I don't know, how you'll drink scotch ... I need cubes for that, beside I don't go too often for groceries shopping. So, I buy extra (meat&veggies) and stick it into freezer.

I do, had it for five years and never a problem. Made by Haier, the only Chinese company I trust to produce decent quality products. I seem to remember the price being about 3,800 rmb

Bought one from Haier about 6 months ago, and so far works pretty darn good. Is a side by side, 25 cubic feet, cost me about 4,000 kuai because had a dent on one side and was discounted  Now dent is againt a wall, and no one  sees it.
