Q: Anybody got some information on gaokao results?

It seems that the entire gaokao structure changed this year.

A friend in another province (shandong) said they were no scores at his school over 700 this year. last year 44 scores over 700 in a class of 1200 juniors.

7 students made a perfect score on math of "150"

40 students scored 145 or higher on math

8 students in the top score of the province in the top 500

18 students in the top score of the province in the top 1000

English writing was on the test this year and killed the 700 scores from happening.

kind of hard to write English when they don't write in Chinese for assignments anyway.

Shandong is the gold standard and usually has the highest gaokao scores in the nation.

how about other provinces, any news.

Several universities will have to lower their threshold scores for admission this year due to the harder test and lower score results.

Ive got about 15 different China news apps in Chinese and English, the only gaokao news I ever hear or see titles for are: Gaokao Cheating / New Gaokao security measures. / New Gaokao add ins.

But I haven't see any result news posted.

I think the past year a perfect score in English was reduced to 100 from 150. 150 is the highest score for Chinese as well as Math. I haven't seen any results yet.

the scores this year are so low nationwide that it's like ripping off "losing face", not sure what contrived solution they will come up with for this.
