Q: anybody just get a family visit visa?

Have you or someone you know just got a Family Visit Visa? Any difficulties you would like to share to help others?

Did you have it replace another type of Visa?

Have you had it renewed? Did you get a longer time period on the renewal ?

Yes, just last week received a 2 year, multiple entry visa to visit family in China [my in-laws]. It took all of 3 days. No difficulties. Had to fill out application, show the marriage certificate that I am married to a Chinese citizen, pay the money and... voila!

No problems Fro Australia just had to show invitation letter and copy of brother in-laws ID card and that was it 3 days latter picked up the Visa for me and my Daughter
