Hi, I did a little research as I also want to avail of this service. Here's what I found:

1. Must be 16-65 year old

2. must show valid ID and give a 200 RMB deposit though some districts’s deposit amounts vary.

Songjiang District info: http://www.sjbike.com/sjbike/zcwd.asp

Yangpu District info: http://www.ypbicycle.com/map.html

Minhang District info: http://shanghai.kankanews.com/shgov/2013-02-22/504975.shtml

In Pudong District, cards can be obtained at Zhangjiang Rail Station, Pudong Software Park, Bank Card Center etc.

In Jing’an, you can find rental spots at the Former Residence of Mao, Cai Yuanpei Former Residence and a few other historical spots in the area.

Prices vary from district to district but in Xuhui for example, it costs 2 RMB for 60 minutes or 4 RMB for over 60 minutes.

Thanks a lot!!!

If I apply for the card in Jin'an (which is the nearest to my house) can I use the bicycles in the other districts?

I live in Xuhui and I have to use the bicycle in another district far from the center of the city (don't know the exact name)

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
