Good luck. Was there on holiday a few years ago... Didn't hear a speck of english.

There are about 120 of us there. half are North American. Only a few are teachers.

some are retirees. Many work for a Finnish pulp and paper company and some for oil companies.

I have a home there but teach elsewhere. I go there every Chinese new year but spend the summer in Canada.  If your a FT and don't go downtown often you won't find anyone.

Have you tried going on Couchsurfing? They normally have weekly meet ups for expats and travellers
