I have been living in China for a few months and have been visiting a lot of factories in many cities such as Guang Zhou, Shen Zhen, He Bei, Fu Shan and so on. I think there are a lot of business opportunities and high potential of success especially for us Expat to make it come true. I have met a few expats who successfully established a business either act as a middle man or creating own brand in many products. I believe it is a great opportunity as China's economic is growing rapidly and stable.
Let me know if anyone is interested so we can team up and further discuss about it.

"I know it sounds crazy, but we met over the network, teamed up for business, looked for opportunities, we had no true plan and nothing really going on besides "travel and doing business", but we worked hard a couple of years and eventually it paid off. And the guy only had been here for a couple of months, yet he just figured it out. Now I get to spend my life like most people can't. Trust me, everything can happen on the Internet, especially with total strangers in China, YOLO, go for it guys, it works!"
- No one, ever.

WROOOOOOOOOOOONG. Pyramid schemers would say that all the time

That's funny, because my definition of entrepreneurship was almost exactly the same.
"Entrepreneurship is in order that you spend most of your life like most people can't, that you spend a few years of your life like most people won't."
It appears that you have done your research and stolen my definition, only to reverse the structure a little bit........
Never do today that which can be put off until tomorrow.

You need a Chinese partner to set up a business in China, at least if you want to do it legally. Good luck finding someone trustable who doesn't expect to earn 80% of the benefits while doing 20% of the work, I did, but it was not an easy task.
Kaiwen:
That is one of the biggest fallacies that ends up on here. A foreign national can register a wholly owned foreign enterprise without any Chinese input whatsoever.
Sinobear:
And the OP IS Chinese..."such as..." "and so on..." "for us Expat..."
Teach writing long enough and you can see the Chineseness.
expatlife26:
I agree with sinobear, read it in your head with a chinese accent and it sounds perfect.
bill8899:
sinobear and kai nailed it. Gosh I hate teaching writing, but as we all known, in the global economy today, every coin has it's two sides.
Shining_brow:
For me it was "China's economic is growing rapidly and stable."
Yes, let's set up a business in the field of business and be a middle man or something like that. Where should I send a check to get started? We gonna be rich $$$$$ :)
Didn't Old Blue Eyes sing it best. "There is no business"

Or John Lennon, "You may say I am a dreamer, but I am not"
I don't know if I would call myself a successful entrepreneur but I will tell you that whatever it is you are trying to do... you are doing it wrong.
Better to use the inner-circle angle on this one and not open public chat rooms for finding a business partner.
Hello Robk,
I am not offering my business but asking if anyone is interested in creating a business together. That's how it start, people come and out in life everyday.
It is a great step to share the business ideas with people who are interested instead of talking about things and gossips.

Yes, I want to create an unspecified business with a complete and total stranger.

Do you have business experience?
do you have a business plan?
do you have a business idea?
do you have any money to finance a small business?
What business model/methodology do you prefer/are you familiar with?
what will you as an individual bring to a business?
for me, these are all basic questions i would ask anyone.
You are too late.
All the markets are cornered, and the established traders are struggling to find new products and new markets.
You won't make money selling cheap mops to Mexico, for example. They already have cheap mops.
Shining_brow:
Oh crap! I just put 10,000,000RMB into a mop factory and paying off the customs and wharf guys... now where do I sell them to?
I just had an idea.
How about selling cheap mops to Mexico ???
bill8899:
YOU can make huge casholala selling cheap mops to Mexico! Working only two hours per day from home! My niece's sister's friend's pet iguana does this and makes $14873 per month! My brother in law's cocker spaniel does this, and just paid cash for a new house! go to my website to find out how to send me money!

Brooms. What China needs are brooms for sweeping the floor. I don't mean those ridiculous and inefficient ones that resemble what little kids use in their cubby houses and pass as brooms in China, I mean real brooms. Ones that enable floors to be swept properly.
If it were possible to buy one, I would.
bill8899:
I agree 100%, but if the good brooms cost even 5 mao more than the crap, no one will buy them.
dom87:
no seriously, I imported a broom and a floor cleaning mob -,-
this chinese shit hurts my back and never clean anything
Maybe this is wrong forum. I mean asking bunch of teachers about creating business
Iron_Monkey:
Haha bingo! It's just like they say: those who can't do, te... ahh I better not pour gas on the fire.
If you ve got 1 000 000 rmb message me. got a cracking idea
do you want all the factory and company namecards i have collected during my 6 years in business in China ? and yet we have not managed to win the game :(
kikikillercat:
yeah, i want to know where the Victoria Secret factory is, where they make sexy clothing for 25 cents and sell for 25 dollars!
i have seen sexy thongs in wholesale areas for one dollar, so you know they are making it for like 10 cents or less.
I want to create a construction company to operate in my country and I need partners, if you are in, then hit me up, cheers!
I'm going to a meeting this afternoon where the hot topic will be how we go about setting up a business. Everyone will be very serious and they'll talk and talk and talk and I won't understand a word of it. After I've had enough I'll go for a beer.
The thing is, they fully expect me to cough up and throw my hat in with them.
But, to be perfectly frank, I'm pretty sure I won't. Call me a nervous nelly, but I'm suspicious of Chinese people's motives. And competence.
