Q: Anyone else been suffering a lot more from bronchitis since coming to China?

Sometimes it seems I pass the cold altogether and go right for the bronchitis. It's happened to me at least 3 times within the last 6 months. Just cannot stop coughing. First starts alright but eventually feels like someone's scraping up the skin from my esophagus. Then I lose my voice altogether.

What's the best treatment for this?

Yeh, but for me it's 'cause of smoking. You in the north? Might be the dust and sand blowing over from Mongolia, i've heard that's a problem.

I had a rather nasty spell of it when I first came to Beijing from Guilin last august. Pretty much lasted until october before getting better.

On the other hand, it made me finally give up smoking! I still have some cigars left over that I have not WANTED to smoke. In many ways, I feel like I am smoking just breathing the regular air here...
I was given this medication, but it is in Chinese. It was a really good expectorant and in less than I week I was right as rain. Got it at my school clinic.
