Q: Anyone else taking part in the huge retail sale going on now?

Single's Day is coming up (November 11), and it's now become a tradition to hold what is basically the equivalent to "Black Friday" sales in the USA for Thanksgiving. Speaking seasonally, this is the Q4 business event that will balance out Spring Festival sales in Q1.

It's likely a thing in the retail stores, but this is huge for online sales. What are you buying? Or will you be spending Single's Day alone and lacking of material possessions?

There can be some good deals to be found, but often it is a way for companies to get rid of old models, still not a bad thing depending on product type.

I think the missus is building up a shopping list of stuff she wants to see if she can find at a good cost.

November the 11th is armistice day for me.

I will be observing the two minute silence at 11am, not feeding the pockets of the rich few.

I think I've put quite a few things in my taobao shopping cart... In the end I'll see what the actual discount on some of the stuff will be since not all of them are showing their discounted prices until the actual day.

I didn't know that the retail stores were having a sale as well... Might go to the malls and check out what kind of bargains I can get.
