Yesterday, the internet speed was incredibly slow and the VPN connection was shaky. I was able to connect but it timed out several times. Oddly, when I was using the VPN, international sites would open relatively quickly, but Chinese sites wouldn't open at all. I used two computers. On one computer, I was running the VPN. On the other, no VPN connection. The Chinese sites were opening OK without the VPN but would not open with the VPN.

Today, I cannot make any connection with the VPN at any location or using different protocols.

VPN's are now being blocked. The news broke back in January, but the technology continues to improve. The firewall appears to be "sniffing" packets and blocking based on IP addresses in the header.

chinese people home for the holiday might stumble on to some truth about the ccp, idle hands are the devil's workshop, so every holiday the blocking and rerouting and slow service occurs, it's nothing new, just standard operating procedure of the ccp, of course they blame the slow service on too many people on the internet for the holidays, even on a beautiful day with people everywhere, buses jams, streets clogged with cars, no, that's not true everyone was on the internet slowing down the service. yeah, right.
