Sign up with Google Sign up with FacebookQ: Anyone having problems with new Yahoo 7 ?
In my computer, I have a legal Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits with Internet Explorer 9 with all updates required. About three weeks ago, I had the misfortune of downloading the new Yahoo 7 software. Since then, can sign into Yahoo, and do anything I want inside the site in regards to navigating except i can not open any email, or write one.
I Google the problem and found some incompatibilities between IE 9 and Y 7, but no one has given a step by step fix for this. I have tried to download IE 10 or 11, but can not do from China.
Does anyone out there had this problem, and how was it resolved? I tried making IE 9 my default browser, but can not do so in 64 bits. it is the only way for me to contact my family back at home, do need good suggestions in detail fast, please.
Even tried to delete Yahoo 7 and go back to the previous version, but could not find it any where........

yahoo searches have been blocked for a couple of weeks now. the reason why baidu isnt blocked in the west is because baidu doesnt link to any anti western websites. chinese sites are generally apolitical in nature. on the other hand, yahoo, and google link to many anti chinese, and extremist websites. as many of us know, search engine stats can also be used to get inside the heads of chinese netizens. those stats can then be used by intel ajencies to better orchestrate riots, or anti chinese movements. if baidu was linking to anti amerikan websites, you can guarantee that baidu wont be blocked, the us would take down the entire website, and prevent it from being seen by anyone in the world. this is why no one really dares link to websites perceived as anti amerikan. so there is a difference, and you cant compare baidu to yahoo. when duckduckgo first came out, i was skeptical of it. over the years, ive seen duckduckgo gain popularity, which made me even more skeptical. now that inperialist shils are cheerleading them, it confirms that duckduckgo is bonafide dodgy. all these websites that claim not to track you will probably add you to some cybercom blacklist that flags you as being a "terorist". before u know it ur waking up in guantanamo, being waterboarded.
New Yahoo...???????????? New one is 11.5
HappyExPat:
Have no idea of the version number, but the latest one, the one just went off beta and it is being pushed to download and convert, in my screen it is called Yahoo Messanger 7. Just checked, for the heck of it, and it is officially Yahoo Messanger 7 version 11.5.0.228.
yahoo does not do searches now unless I am using a vpn. any english search engines left in china that actually work, I refuse to use baidu, baidu is available in america but english search engines are punished in china, so screw baidu.

I still think baidu is actually quite good. Even English it comes up with mainly what I need.
