Q: Anyone heard of Chinese Pod?

Its a language learning pod cast. But its a little expensive.

Worth it or not? I've heard good things, but Im not ready to dive in just yet.

chinesepod is great if i were a good student i would have learned chinese by now through them. It is fun and short (each lesson that is). you can download all lessons as a torrent

They used to be incredible and free, then they got bought out and started charging money. However, hundreds of their original episodes under Richard Stalman's license, and thus are totally legal to download. You can find them on a torrent, or on this one site I can't remember. PM me and I'll google it, if you want.

That was the site that brought me from absolute beginner to comfortably intermediate. Highly recommended. I have no clue if their new stuff is good, as I stopped using it when they started charging.

Been on it for years, it'sworth every penny.  And if you have freinds who want to learn English,  English Pod.   These guys are really good at teachiong Mandarin.

I tried their product.  For me the format of the lessons didn't quite work.  But I guess that is a personal view.
