Q: Anyone here been brave enough to venture to Beijing's Fragrant Hills during "red leaf festival"?

The leaves are nice and yellow-red in Beijing now and what better way to absorb their beauty to the max than by heading to the Fragrant Hills where the entire hill is smothered in red shades. Sounds idyllic but then reality kicks in: a few thousand others have the same idea. And so, your trip to "admire nature" becomes a showcase of the back of people's heads. That's what I'm afraid of encountering on a trip to the Fragrant Hills around this time of year. Pity!

I wouldn't do it. Hire yourself a driver and go further afield to admire nature instead. It may cost more but it'll be so worth it!
