Q: Anyone interested in home made liqueurs ?

I made a strawberry based one (mostly guessing), and to my surprise it turned out very good, about 25% proof. Many friends enjoyed it, both Chinese and ExPats. So, this year I am trying four different new ones, banana, oranges, cranberry and pineapple.

Does anyone has any suggestions of what fruits could be used, and / or recipees ? I have no idea if what I do is right or not, just add and taste and see what happens, but it is fun do.

Any help or suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks.

I like a snowy Happy new year, rather than a no sky one...Beijing's time to ban the cars---the only solution for the time being...

Try using dragon fruit.... it will add a sweet taste without being too strong of a flavor (easy mixing for cocktails)

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
