Q: Anyone knows a good visa agent?

Hej guys

Anyone knows a good visa agent they trust in Shanghai? A friend Got a job and they'll do her working visa but it'll take some time and her visa expires like a few days after she starts working for them so she'll need something else in the meantime. Obviously answer by PM for the name, but conversations about visas ( how shameful she must be to get another visa during that time i'm guessing is gonna come up) personal experiences and the like can of course by put here.

Thanks in advance for all those that can  help out, and still thanks to constructive answers, to all the others well, i probably read you.

" her visa expires like a few days after she starts working for them so she'll need something else in the meantime"

No... once the application is in, you're legally allowed to stay. (or. at least, that was the way, before everything changed to online)

Hotwater:

No, let me fix that for you...

Once the resident permit application is in then it's fine. All depends on which stage of the process. Work permit first...

Even if this post is real or fake whatever, we should get guys to wakeup and know that there are no more visa agents anymore. There still is a mail out your passport trick but mostly for Americans and cost more than 2 grand dollar wise if someone in China helps you. Unless you are married here you are out of luck and out of China!

I swear I am seeing less and less foreigners these days.  Why? The visa policy is working, lackluster teachers are being forced out because of Doc's they can't provide, less people wanna come here and handle the hassle and those who come here legally always keep telling me the same two things: 1. I wanna go to Korea, can't stand it here. 2. I wanna go home and out of this country...

Once you're out of China its hard to get back in or its hard to stay in China, put these concepts together than you'll know why we see less McDonalds eaters here.

So to put it bluntly 99% of visa agents are GONE! Oh watch out for scammers.

ScotsAlan:

I think the agents are still there, but these days they are maybe charging to say no? I know a guy who left a few weeks back cos cant get a visa. Give it a few months more when all the current M visas run out.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
