Q: anyone knows where i can sell my diamond ring in china?
if you are a foreigner working here in China, you will be ****ed over.
Don't sell it here, unless you have had a valuation from a reputable jeweler in an other country
i am a student and out of budget for my tuition that is why i need to find way to get some money to pay for it

you are a foreigner: you are unlikely to get it's true value here
Even in my home country, i would hesitate about doing this.
you should investigate other legitimate ways of meeting your tuition.
once the ring is sold and the money gone, you will be in the same position.
i have some GIA certificate for my ring which i know the actual value and i already appraised it too, so at least i know the value of my goods

Are you close to HK? I suggest, you try with 'appraisal' there at Gold selling spots. If Chinese will buy anything of you, he/she'll always try to outsmart you, so be careful.
If you have certificate, you might try to post your sell offer here (without price in public of course). If anybody here is interested, you can negotiate price in private message

The gold is just worth 240Rmb per gram. It's 18k if you have a stone on it. And if that stone is less than 50 points, don't expect anything much. At Rapaport prices, take 40% and you'll know what pawnshops will pay you for it. As a guide, D color, XXX, VVS1 brilliant cut starts at USD10,000 per carat - this is the top of the line white diamond. Fancy cuts will be priced much lower. Hope that helps.

I'm thinking, you could just post Q here with your offer. Don't write price, just description, and size from certificate, if you have it. Then wait for replies.
There are tons of pawn shops around. Just remember that diamonds aren't actually worth what you pay for them in the first place so don't expect to get much for it.
