Q: Anyone signed a new contract for next year yet?

I am curious do any of you have new contract for next year? I asked in January if I would be working here again and of course they said there is no for them to know that early. They would think about it in May. I don’t see any problems finding a different job, but would prefer to stay at the same location with a little better contract terms.

My contract runs till next July, end of the semester, with an option to renew for another term. For new contracts next year, I don't think they've started looking yet. Probably start in May.

my current Uni said they were already looking.

If we wanted to renew, then let them know by the 20th of April last.

however

i know they are having a problem retaining teachers so i waited to see if they made a reasonable offer - i spoke to the other FT's as well.

none of them were offered an increase, so most are looking else-where.

Me? i've made my decision

I work in a Canadian company that has zero idea about china. I can work indefinitely or until i get fired. Remember when you were in a normal country and you didnt have year on year contracts you just worked until you left? Its like that.

My Bosses are in Canada and cant read a word of chinese. I prepare and submit my contract my self. So im signed up till about 2018 haha

Thx! Lucky me, 'cause my RP expire on May 3rd, 2014, and with 30 days L (tomorrow), new School will be able to extend RP till June 30th, 2015 (new Contract).

I avoided re-applying for new Z from EU.
