Q: Apple store or Apple store at Zhongguancun?
I've been having so many problems with my apple macbook and I've had so many issues with waiting for the Apple people as opposed to just getting it fixed at the fake places that know electronics. Would you recommend to keep going with the Apple store for my next repair or go see Old Wang at Zhongguancun who can take apart and put back togeter a computer better than a robot?

I would recommend good unauthorized computer technician over Apple service, especially if you have an older machine.
I have 2008 Mac Pro. I visited authorized Apple service in Harbin and in HK for repair of the motherboard. Apple cost for motherboard exchange was around 5000 Rmb.
Repair of faulty chip on motherboard at unauthorized repair shop cost me 800 Rmb.
Try to find somebody, who can recommend you good laptop repairman.
Repair of your Mac at unauthorized repair shop will be cheaper than in Apple store.
Apple goal is to sell as many new computers as possible. Repair estimate at Apple shop is always high, because Apple doesn't want to repair an old computer. Apple would rather sell you new one instead.
I broke my iphone a few months ago (hotpot sauce in the charge port) and my gf found a little repair stand in the back of a small phone shop. The guy fixed it (including a new charger port) for 280rmb...if I had done this through Apple it would have cost at least 2000 or more.
It still works like a charm.
The downside is if they use fake replacement parts your warranty becomes void...but I believe the benefits outweigh the negatives...at least for me.
