Q: Are the Chinese ever happy with the weather?

For months all I heard from people was 'too hot'. Now all I hear is 'too cold'. Large generalisation but do you find the average Chinese Joe is never happy with the weather?

The general approach to everything in China is very much influenced by yin/yang. There is never an in-between. Food is too sweet. Penises are too big. Weather is too cold. iPhone too expensive. iPhone too old model. Constant dissatisfaction.

I wouldn't want to live my life like that. E.g. today is "too cold" but for me it's a bit chilly which is a nice change and by walking slightly faster than normal I can keep warm as well as get my heart rate up which will in the long run lower my risk for strokes and other nastiness.

Yup, listening to the locals, there would be 2 months in a year of weather which would be ok. Living under a gigantic glass dome sounds like their ideals. But then, back home in Europe, people were the same Laughing out loud

Maybe it was just the province that I was in, but i haven't really heard much complaining from the Chinese about the weather. Seemed that they were used to all the seasons and was no reason to complain about it.

I think the poster is referring to the extremely tight temperature range the locals find acceptable.  I would say it's around 25 to 28 degree's, anything less and it's cold, anything more and it's hot.  Maybe the Chinese are cold blooded?  Ha, that would explain a lot.
