Q: Are Chinese girls blank slates?

Just about every Chinese girl I talk to lives a bland life. They work, go home, watch TV, sleep. Every day. My soon to be wife didn't have many interests when we first started dating but has slowly begun to take on my hobbies as her own. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

Yeah I know what you mean. Hobbies fall outside the realm of expect/ everyday life. So these small activities that provide variety to the blandness of existence is something that doesn't cross their mind. Growing up they had to study hard, to pass the test, to get the job. Once you get the job, then it's work until you can find a husband that will support you.

Yeah, I finally got her to do things that don't involve eating, crapping, turning food into energy or sleeping. I even managed to teach her how to play poker.

Chinese women, for the most part, do what is "expected".

I wouldn't say they are all blank slates. Some are of course, but for the most part, if you "let" them explore and have their own ideas, they'll develop on their own. I think this is actually a reason why a lot of Chinese girls want to date westerners.

The typical Chinese girl doesn't seem to care about sports or anything really interesting. Go jogging, climb the great wall, enjoy a walk on the beach of my god, my hair and I'll sweat.

Wenna sounds a little non typical and I hope that catches on, and speak to my wife coax her into realizing you feel weak because you don't exercise, you have a lack of blood because you only believe in Chinese Medicine instead of real activities to improve blood circulation, and the sun isn't always your enemy. This is one of the tragedies of Chinese society, IMO. They waste their youths with too much study in school so they can go to a good university. College life is filled with more studying and meaningless frivolity. I have many friends who are students. I have always asked them 2 questions: What do you want to do with your life? "I dunno, find a job and get married." What kind of job? "A good job". The conversations never progresses beyond that. They have no hopes, no dreams beyond finding a good job, get a house and getting married (maybe buy an Iphone). It seems every Chinese girl has been programmed, school + job + house + marriage = happy life. They do not know how to think beyond this. I know many nothing girls with nothing in their head.
A great pity.

Excellent point. It's a soulless existence. You could hardly even call it life at all.
