Obviously you can't generalize. There are Chinese men who are faithful and there are those who are not. I have known a few Western girls going out with Chinese girls and I must admit their track record for monogamy hasn't been great, but then again either has the record of the Western guys my friends have been dating back home.

Arrogant men are usually not faithful. Don't expect men faithful. They want to prove they're still attractive to woman no matter how old they are. Chinese men don't care their wife and kids when they cheated. They have no idea about responsibility. Don't be naive to believe them. Don't trust them, otherwise you'll be hurt badly.

There're shameless women around them, married and unmarried. These women can be paid for sex in numerous ways. They usually cover these dirty things by beautiful claim "We have feelings to each other" "We're good people" "We love each other, we sex not for exchanging anything". "sorry,"They know they're hurting their kids and wife brutally, but they still can not stop. They're not human being. They're animals The girl wants money and position, the stupid man wants excitement and a prove that he is still able to attract a youger and so called smart and talented whore!

I can answer honestly based on my own behavior,, and no I have never cheated,,, but I consider myself a serial monogamist,,,,,new romances don't get stale as a marriage might,, I've always found that women either end the marriage or relationship the majority of time,,,, i'll drop it here.

I was king monogamist, up until CHINA... Then my first CHINESE gf ruined that for me... I think in all cultures you have men and woman who are unfaithful. To really know if the person you like and want to be with, you must get to know them first. Even after you get to know them some things might surprise you. Yes married chinese men go to places to get woman. But i also know some foreign woman here who had a divorce with their foreign husbands because their husbands where cheating on them with chinese girls. There are faithful men and woman in all cultures, you just have to look hard for them and spend time getting to know them before you jump in to things.

Just look at the politicians in China (in other countries too, but here the media would cover up everything), they don't go high without having a "ernai". Every Chinese people know that fact and it doesn't disturb them at all....it's normal.
Look at Mao, even though the Communism forbade to have more than one wife or illegitimate affairs, he still managed to have wife and "concubines". Everybody knew it, and nobody was disturbed by this fact.
So Chinese men and affairs very often go together....and it's commonly accepted by the large majority of Chinese.
My wife had a Chinese boss, with one wife, and two "ernai"... And he is not the only one around.
Very often until the wife gets all that she wants for her and her child, she won't mind that much.

Believe it or not,it has nothing to do with nationality, it simply varies from person to person.
