Q: Are Eurasian people treated like locals or foreigners ?

I like many of you have mixed race kids .
we always are complemented on how pretty they look (all from the Mum)
the speak both tounges well and understand both familys and culture resonable well for their age.
But what will happen when they get older?
How will they be treated in China outside of our family?

I think they are gone be treated as foreigners (same as ABC's now are treated) but they gone have a huge advantage as understanding and having knowledge of both cultures in their future lifes with the right education. They are going to have a lot of oportunities, both here and in other nationality.

And yes most of them are adorable!

This question let me think of it as, when i visit LA. In the years 40-50-60's the most beautiful people on earth flocked over their to get a job in a movie and now you have all over mixed breed, this breed is mixed over again.

When walking over Rodondo beach I always have a hard time for not getting or hiding my boner. wink

From the stories I have heard, mixed kids here are a target for jealousy within the school system.  Most of them become the teacher pets because of their looks (and intelligence) and some of the other kids don't care for that.  Think of what high school was like for most of us. Sticking out wasn't really a good thing.  And here, that sticking out is 10 fold.

I have 2 mixed boys (3 years old) and they get tons of attention.  Even in preschool, they were harassed by some of the other kids just because they were different.  Now they are going to an American school here and they fit in much better.
