Q: Are expats a vector for STDs in China?

China has been relatively safe from any STDs in part due to their culture and *absence of* sexual education. With expats coming from abroad, could the be considered an important puzzle part of transmitting venereal diseases in China?

That's exactly what I'm wondering, Nickwatson. Despite all my efforts, I couldn't find any reliable source for STDs in China. Some people say it's a plague, some other say it's not. The problem with those contradictory statements is that people just don't talk about it, because it's confusing. As a result, people don't wrap it up and they get all weird and bad STDs. More than once I've seen expats being pointed at for the propagation of venereal diseases, and I wonder if there is truth in that.

I'm sorry for criticizing, but there really should be sexed classes in China. It's health we're talking about here!
