Q: Are fortune tellers all phoneys?

So many people seem to go to fortune tellers here, but are they just scammers or has anyone heard stories of their predictions/readings actually being accurate?

Depends on what type of fortune teller your speaking of. You can get a book to read palms so really they just studied the book and you could do the same and save tons of money. Some can be phoney but most of the fortune tellers are just ordinary people that studied books just as you can. It's a practice if you want to learn how to do it you have to study it as they have or go pay your money to them and have them read your fortune for you.

To me, fortune tellers are a waste of my time and money.  After all, if they could really predict my future, why don't they use it to better themselves into a better economic standard of living ?.  And I do not care how much you study, no one can see the future, nor control it.

If you're going to a fortune teller for any other reason than because you think it's fun, don't go. It's a waste of your money, and in my mind, is only good if you're looking to try it for the experience. They can't predict the future. A lot of people in China are superstitious, and are more likely to believe what they hear from a fortune teller. Ask them about horoscopes sometime, I'm sure they keep track of that as well. If something actually came true, they'd believe it, but I'm pretty sure it would just be coincidence. I bet a lot of them are scams too.
