According to my ex-gf, yes. But I felt so stupid doing it that I told her "no" after the first time.

Most Chinese men here are whipped (young generation) so I can understand and they also carry murses themselves so what's the difference.

But if I ever see a foreigner doing this I would slap him silly.....real men say no.

I will carry anything for my gf but NEVER her purse....exception being if she is trying on clothes at a store I will hold it for her until she is done.

I think op is not talking about carrying their ladies' bags, but rather them carrying around ladies bags to keep their own things in. It's the hottest new fashion and I guarantee you that in two months, every successful very fashion Chinese man will be porting around a purse presumably full of iPhones.

You might think this far-fetched, but remember how about two years ago, every guy had a pink polo shirt tied at the bottom to show his belly button? Or how last year you'd always be seeing thirty-something businessmen with Justin Biever haircuts?

I would never ask a guy to carry my purse for me, I'd be embarrassed, even if he wouldn't be. Sometimes I ask a person to hold my purse while I put on a jacket, but that's whoever is nearby, girl or guy. As for a "murse," if it's like a messenger bag style, and not an actual woman's purse, then that's ok. Sometimes guys have stuff to carry too.

Same as the others
I will hold on to it while she is busy like cloths or looking at something
but as soon as we start walking it's all hers
Besides it does not match anything in my wardrobe

That's weird. Chinese guys put up with this?

I would never ask my BF to carry my bag. It's mine, I own it, I carry it, that's what the possessive pronoun indicates! I do sometimes ask him to hold it for a few seconds while I do something that requires both hands, and he will, but with a look of impatience designed to demonstrate to the world that this is an abnormal occurrence.

Are you sure its their partners bag?  there are some super fruity mens bags here in asia.  Sometimes I cant tell if a guy is straight or not when I see the kind of "mens" bags they have here.

Jnusb416:

Some do carry their girlfriend/wife's purse, but I don't think a lot of them do that, thankfully.

One of my students (a boy) he has a pencil bag that looks like a "teddy panda". I am just glad Hugs has not seen him, she might take his bag and leave him crying!!!

it depends. you can't absolutely say no. people are different. a man carry his gf's bag, not mean he is the weak, awkward.....

hey, have a look now what age, do what you want to do as long as it is not illegal, does not violate moral standards. life is complex, why you make it more complex. if both of you feel happy, just do it.
