I know from my time in Shanghai and visiting Beijing that both of these cities have a nice supply of micro brews. The rest of China I am unsure of though. Does your city have any bars or restaurants that make their own beer (or other liquors)? Is microbrewing catching on in China or is it just a westerner thing in the largest cities?
In Guangzhou & Wuhan I haven't seen any. I am sure they exist, but I didn't see any.
In Dalian, there are about a dozen places that have micro-breweries on site that make some pretty good beer.
i haven't seen any, you know, may be the Chinese often buy the brand beer.. like qindao, landai etc....
I know of only one family-held microbrewery in the greater Shenyang area and this is it:

I saw absolutely no evidence of it out west - there were some good 'local' brews, but none of them would have come under the definition of being a microbrewery.
I know of a decent one in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province. Creatively titled "The Brewery", it is run by a Taiwan-Hong Konger. It's got a few decent brews, moderately priced and nicely located right on the Grand Canal. Nice place to sit outside in the summer actually.
There are a couple in Beijing (great leap brewery, slow boat), but I think both are foreign/joint-owned ventures. When I was at Jianghu Bar in Nanluoguxiang a year or so ago, they had some sort of homebrew on tap, but I don't know where it came from.
You can get a special "hei pi" at the factory in Qingdao if that counts?
