i'd also be interested. my last school paid directly into a bank account so there was a record of payment that could be referred to. Now i will be paid in cash (which i don't like) and will also be looking for a receipt of payment or pay-slip of some kind. What are other people experiences of this method of payment?
When I have been paid in cash, they normally get you to sign to say you have been paid it
even if the receipt is only kept in their office, I always demand a copy
just tell them you have to fill out a tax return back home and therefore need it.
Did the job for me.
CARLGODWIN1983:
Emphasize, tax return for back in your home country. Ask nicely. Should work.
the company doesnt. need to pay tax to the government if it pay you in cash rather than by card, thats the reason.because the government doesnt know you get paid.

the company wouldn't show the receipt to the government, they just keep it as a proof that they have paid you,it equals to a secret between you and the company and it is actually quite common among Chinese private companies.
Why would you need proof that they paid you? They need proof that they paid you.
