Q: are people taught that women have a "disability"?
i've heard it numerous times from students of both sexes
I don't know, but they are certainly viewed as weaker than men. You wouldn't believe how many times I was told to "have a rest" or how many times people asked if I was tired or if I needed to sit down. It was enough to drive me bonkers.

They were trying to let you know they were nice to you. However I really dislike being treated in others' "nice ways". Only"nice" in their mind. I'm not female though.
It is true that most women have a disability (or maybe that should be inability) to look at things rationally from a guy's point of view. 
yes, and they are especially disabled by all the hysteria around those lovely days every month where they are told they are extra vulnerable.
I think a lot of them have a "oh, I cannot do that, I am a woman" attitude.
You could see it on CCTV last year. How impressed they where with a woman making it into space and back.
"Ah" you say, but plenty of women have been to space before. True, but Chinese women are different. .... and this is where I will have to pull out of a conversation before it ends in racists slurs.
Every year, around the time of International Women's Day, I like to give a lecture on the achievements of women everywhere.
They have hard ad nauseam about Madam Currie, but I also include stateswomen, suffragists, Astronauts/Cosmonauts, warriors, military, explorers, etc.
Invariably, when I try to gear the discussion towards the role that Chinese women could have in these fields, I oftentimes am greeted with derision, from both the boys AND THE GIRLS! The few women and girls who do get into the spirit and dare to say so, are oftentimes laughed at in class, both by boys and girls alike.
I find it rather depressing even though I am a man...
Many women in China are married to their disability.

With their disability to choose wisely. With their disabled family's approval. With their disability to tell the difference between right and wrong and stand for the rightful.
I think equality is not only about rights but also about responsibilities. However from what I witnessed it seems that some Chinese women have learned the tactic, perhaps unconsciously, that when it comes to rights it's "lady first" and when it comes to responsibilities it's "you don't love me enough, otherwise you would do it for me."
Nope, but after a night with me they usually do: THEY CAN'T WALK!
