Q: Are radiators a fire hazard?
What the heck, here's a follow-up question also dealing with radiators:
Is it safe to leave things drying on them overnight or is this a major fire hazard? As I just stated in a previous qustion, my radiator is pretty GD hot; not to mention it takes forever to air-dry clothes in the winter...
I've never really dealt with radiators before China so I don't really know, but I have this preconceived notion that if I leave jeans on it to dry over a long period of time that it'll catch fire and engulf me in flames. Not the way I want to go out.

Follow just 2 basic steps.
1. Never cover the air exhaust - which is ussualy on top , could be a mesh or like this, jsut some holes
2. do not open for full power
I use it here already 3 years, and still fine, never fired my house. i got 2100W with 3 steps by 700W, i use just no.1 - 700w and something like 60-70% of power on the knob, without clothes. for cloth drying is enough keep like 50% over night, its safe.
I have never tried to use all 2000W with 100%, no need to.
Well I used to be a custodian of a dormitory buidling in the UK and that type of thing, i.e. clothes on or in front of a radiator were a breach of fire regulations and would result in a written formal warning of non compliance. So yes, I would say it most definitely is a fire hazard.
Just because you have never been killed playing Russian roulette does not in any way lessen the danger of it!
