I don't really get the whole fapiao (receipt) thing in China but it seems like only legit places can give you these. So is it accurate to assume that whatever you buy isn't a fake if they can give you a fapiao?

Not at all, i bought a fake i phone for 700 RMB.
all the functions work and i have receipts but it not a true item. Its just prooof of purchase
No,no~
That's for the government to get tax paid and people who bought that stuff get reimbursement from his/her company.
if they can fake a mobile phone ,why cant they fake a sheet of paper??
I think i bought fake phone too for 700RMB too. Weird! Still not sure because i went to the store with my receipt, and i will get a real one in a bit less than 3 month, so at that time i'll be able to say if phone is fake or not. I cross my finger it's not!
Fake phone fake receipt
Buy from an authorized dealer not a street vendor
