Q: Are single foreign women aged 35+ doomed to eternal singlehood in China?
If they stay in China? I mean, even Chinese women over 27 are deemed as "leftover" women and struggle to find a partner. It must be so much harder for single foreign women living here.

Finding a fitting one, on the other hand, might be a little difficult...
the difference is most western women dont need a man but they would like to have a good man.
chinese women are brainwashed to believe they need a man obviously by a male dominated society.

joke aside you make a very good point. foreign women are less likely to have that self defeatist attitude.
No. They can leave China any time they like, and aren't subject to any of the ridiculous limitations China imposes. More and more women are marrying older in the west.
I know a few women in their 30's and 40's who've had a string of failed relationships in China, are now single, but completely stuck here but always complain and tryi to gain pity from others because the men here have treated them so bad and all they want is a good guy bla bla bla... I think for this type of woman (who's stuck here because she's too proud to leave because it would be giving in to defeat or something warped like that) will have a very difficult time to settle down and have a family here. There's also the biological clock to think about you know.
If you're a 'western' woman in China no matter what your age you have a distinct advantage, it's called a foreign passport.
I know of quite a few men who use that to take advantage of numerous local women, there is nothing stopping 'western' women doing the same (apart perhaps from personal morals).
If however you're looking for 'western' men then obviously that is going to be more difficult because a. there are a lot less of them, and b. many of them in China prefer the looks of Chinese women. However, as has been said, 'western' women do tend to marry later so you have longer to look (or be found).

If a girl comes to China to look for an American guy, they're not really thinking the plan through properly... that said, I do know a few western-western couples who met in China but they're all younger than 30.
Local Chinese men think western women just want to 'play', not have a serious relationship. so it is a matter of status if they manage to bed one. I have been looking here and only managed to find men who don't want a serious relationship
Some Western women are single by choice. Not everyone has a Chinese set of mind - to get married as soon as possible (esp. women), have kids, a house, a car. What then? Many women want more.
Usually , they seek the perfect ideal proposal and they keep rejecting guys till they find out they are old to get that ideal husband ..
Most Chinese men are too meek or camp style....I find myself rejecting most men I met after one date. Since, I am not looking for a girl friend either then "camp" is out the window......
