Q: Are there any "international-standard" Chinese hospitals in Beijing?

By that I mean affordable hospitals but with top-notch facilities. The foreign hospitals are way too expensive, but at the same time I do want peace of mind...

Tongren Hospital by Chongwenmen is considered one of the best in China, especially it's eye department.

If by "International standards" you mean....
1. Clean
2. No smoking
3. Privacy
4. All of the above

I doubt it. Come to northern China for the real shock treatment.

I agree with the previous ones, Sino-Japanese Hospital is good although some doctors still smoke in the rooms and such but well...
Another option is the Xiehe Hospital, particularly good for pregnancy follow up and births although they are also quite well equiped in scanners and such.

However, in BJ, it will really depend on what you need an hospital for...
