You asked the question at right time..this program is just started on CCTV 9, it is on air since 3 AM, the name of the documentary is my destination - China, they showed the story of guy who is photographer from Germany ..he is on some student program exchange, another guy is American Filipino , he has two studio and he coaching kick boxing ..
I reckon there's a load of these documentaries in progress by pot-smoking burnouts who came to China to teach English, but spend all their time in bars telling people they are a documentary film maker.

no nevermind you are partially wrong but your answer is really accurate I think -- many of them come here, I think to honor us with their posts -- at least IMHO.
A few years ago, around the year 2000 or 2001, I saw a documentary that talked about some American soldiers from the Korean War (1950-1953) who chose to remain in China after the war. Most eventually returned home, but there was one in particular who never left.
Most of them had already died, but some were still alive, or at least their kids were (now adults of course!).
No, I cannot remember the name.
