I worked there in 2011 for three semesters, nice enough. easy to get around decent shopping centers, couple of hours from Shanghai on the fast train.

Shaoxing in Zhejiang?

 

'Famous" as the 'Venice of China'... cos it's got a lot of canals (not cos it's got lots of culture Tongue)

 

Lots of fabric markets, and quite a few non-Chinese (aka, 'foreigners') who live and work there.

 

About 20 mins by fast train to Hangzhou.

 

Yes, these are facts, not opinions. It hasn't rated well enough in my memory for much of an opinion...
