I recently saw that the former singer of The Smiths, Morrissey, recently said that the shooting in Norway is "nothing" compared to the damages KFC does to chicken. As far as I understand, that singer attacked one of the most beloved icon in China. I'd really doubt Chinese people will let that one slip, so I was wondering if it was common to ask a boycott?
Back in 'Merica, you can't just go an insult Abraham Lincoln or the Constitution. How far Chinese people will go and defend KFC? Can a boycott of this artist be expected?

why would china or chinese defend KFC?
by the way , chinese do boycott brands to defend themselves . for e.g carefour and other french brands were boycotted when sarkozi said something bad about tibet ,just before the 2008 olympics .
Since when is KFC a national symbol in China? Isn't that YOUR country's national symbol? Disgusting fast food???
Chinese don't do boycotts per say, but will generally avoid anything that goes against their pride! Chinese people are insanely proud about their country, especially when it's a laowai criticizing it!
Really alva? Disgusting fast food?
Would you please explain to me why there's always a gawd damn line up, here in China??
At least back in 'Merica its a selected Clientel and most of there revenue is on Thursday when the colonel has its crazy rebates!
From on outsider perspective China is pretty damn well addicted to it.
KFC financial QE reports in China demonstrate it.
Cheers Poutine!
Alva, KFC is not a symbol in China, but an icon. Chinese people look up for the Colonel's chicken, and are ready to wait for hours to get moar! Back in 'Merica, there are far less KFCs and lineup is never bad.
I was just wondering how Chinese people would react when one of their most beloved icon - as far as i could notice - was under attack. Would they boycott the aggressor? Will they massively send letters to KFC to show support? Surely they can't let this one slip away, it's KFC!
As far as i could notice, Chinese are of a very proud nature. I don't know if boycotts is in their nature, or if they are used to mass revolts, but it's sure you can't insult them and go unharmed!
Do the Chinese listen to the Smiths anyway? Does ANYONE listen to the Smiths anymore?
And why should Morrissey's opinion count anymore? Last I heard, he was a binge-drinking recluse who had moved to France to pester the locals (See link)
what mean boycott Morrissey,, is boycott sometin like shemale in chiese?
