Q: Are there charity shops in China?

So I know there are second hand places which cheap stuff, but are their any charity shops? Where things a dirt cheap, run by nice old ladies and most of the money goes to the British heart foundation, or a Chinese equivalent? I don't think I've seen any, but then I also been paying close attention.

Charity needs a civilization to start with. There are some state-run charities, like the Red Cross, which used to be run a few years ago by an obnoxious post-80 little girl who enjoyed shooting selfies all day long with cars, shopping bags, etc. To give you an idea.

Charity begins at home.....not in China.

I find that the people don't really like 2nd hand things unless it comes from family.

Also students speak of a distrust of charity, the money just goes to rich ppl and never gets to where it is needed.

They use this story as an example...

But they also insist that beggars are actually rich, so I shouldn't give them any money either.

Hmmmm....not the beggars I've seen
