Q: Are there doomsday preppers in China?

Just came across a doomsday prepping documentary on netflix, and was wondering, has anyone heard of these types of thoughts in China? I mean, I guess the apocalypse idea isn't as big here? Or maybe I've just never heard about it while here.

According to the waitress at a local Hunan style restaurant who the other day claimed a dish was only a little spicy, the answer is no. ... Preppers!!!, not peppers!!!.

Well, that is another thing. Aren't all Chinese doomsday preppers. Not for the rapture kind of thing, more the Government comes and claims our land so best to have a random pile of bricks in the corner of the living room and such.

Stiggs:

That's what I was about to say. They're all about saving for when someone gets sick, hit by a taxi, the idiot cousin loses all his money and more gambling and any of the other dozens of disasters that can befall a family.
