Actually, only from what I have heard, I would say definitely not.  They are readily available and performed on some very few but otherwise  -- I would say not.

Definitely not..  My girlfriend says it's not healthy to be messing around down there, and those kinds of things can lead to serious complications. 

A Chinese man depends on his children to support him in his old years so putting himself in a situation to not be able to make children is never something a Chinese man would willingly agree to.. Even if he has children, something bad could happen to his children where they're not able to be able to provide for him financially (jail, death, disabled, etc.).. At which time, he needs to be able to make more children to replace them. This is all just so that he can be sure to have people to take care of him in old age..
