Q: Are vegetables in China healthy?

I know this question sounds a bit weird, but when I see vegetables growing next to train tracks in dirty water with a lot of trash around, I cannot believe that it is actually healthy eating those... What do you think?

So you want "shocking organic", no problem. The food label will be interesting. I got a brand name for the food "Einstein Edibles". catchy, i know, your welcome.

You forgot all the poisions used.  But as long as you rank everything equal in China, then yes the veggies are healthy.  The vegetables are not worse for you compared to Western veg than the air is compared to the air you breath back home.

Other than the fact that they're often covered in chemicals there's nothing wrong with the produce itself. You're better off always removing the skin/shell/peel of whatever you're eating. Or make sure you wash and scrub it in warm, non-toxic soapy water. Make sure the water is clean too. Then you should be good to go!

I heard from an expert that plants have natural way of eliminating toxic chemicals to some extend. Its the contamination with bacteria or virus such as ecoli that is risky like the episode in Germany.
