You should know. You are Chinese, but the answer is yes and mainly Buddhist.

Damn....I have not eaten mammals in 20 years, and trying to explain that to locals here is insane.
The chicken here sucks and there is no turkey, so in China it is pretty much tofu, veggies and rice for me.
And what's up with the funny tasting fish with all the bones and head??
China is making me want to go full veggie!!
But diet is a status thing in China...if you have money, you eat meat. If you are poor you eat veggies and eggs!
Most rich people back home are thin...so different here.

A:Chinese are generally pretty tolerant friendly and accepting whatever foreigners do.  I spent 15 years in China but I wouldn't say there are that many don'ts....Don't assume that many people speak English though and learn some Chinese. Don't speak much about politics unless you want to praise Chinese system.  -- Natalie363
