Computer video games are very popular. Internet bars are everywhere half the place is full of people playing WOW, Counter Strike, or some basic QQ game. These also many arcades where you can enjoy some classic fighting and side-scrolling games. As far as a variety of console games or having the latest and greatest games that are popular in the US.... don't expect much at all.

They're super popular. I even saw a group of PS3s hooked up in Pudong airport in Shanghai. Blew my mind. But yeah, there's tons of internet cafes and people take gaming very seriously here. Young Chinese people are worse than Koreans when it comes to gaming addiction. There was a story recently where a couple sold all 3 of their kids to fund their addiction.
