Q: Are you buying your special someone flowers for VD ?

Do you celebrate Valentines Day with your (Chinese) significant other ? 

 

Last year I paid roughly 4 times the price (special laowei-price) for a bunch of flowers, this American tradition does not really exist in my home country, and I am not much a fan of this annual celebration of florists/chocolate dealers.

Venereal disease is not funny Scandanavian! That stuff can get you kicked out of China!

 

Anyway, seeing as I'm single I will probably be walking around grocery stores with puppy eyes, imagining myself with one of the millions of baifumei nu haizi. Maybe I'll hang out near the Ferrero Rocher aisle for kicks.

4 times the price? flowers are dirt cheap in china, much cheaper than in the western world. few words chinese or a friend helping u to order from taobao can save u a fortune...
