Q: Are you living your dream in China?

So for those of you that came for a better life are you living your dream? How has it been for you so far? Is it what you expected and then some or is it just the opposite of what you expected?

I came to experience the culture for 1-2 years, and so far it has been...interesting. This city is small, and I like it, but I want to find another city to work in next time. Then after that, perhaps there will be a better offer, one I will have to stay in America for. If not, I will try teaching in Korea.

I would say I am very close to it, yes. Especially since moving to Beijing. Some things have proven to be different but more interesting than what I had in mind. Others have been right on the nose.  Some things were the same , others were opposite but not all opposite expectations have proven to be bad.

Just different which is what I came for, my dream, no, too hot in summer, too cold in winter, I like being in China, lots of the world left to experience, who knows maybe the beach in Beirut next. My house and cars are paid for at home. except for the bills to own them i have no other expenses.

I won't spend another winter in Guilin, i'll go farher south.
