Q: Are you in this situation?
Are you in this situation?
You are married, but you still love someone who you once with in your life. It's a beautiful but painful memory. It's your little secret which you will never tell your wife/husband.
Vicky, the difference is in most places outside of China there's no "my country's food." People regularly eat food that originated from all over the world. It's really annoying when people make ridiculous generalizations like "Americans eat hamburgers so that is American food." My family lives in a small town of around 20,000 people and in that town there is an Indian restaurant, two Thai restaurants, 3 Chinese restaurants, 2 Japanese restaurants, several pizza/pasta Italian type restaurants, a British pub, an Irish pub, a Greek restaurant, several seafood restaurants, a vegan restaurant, and a Jamaican style BBQ restaurant just to name a few. There are multiple supermarkets selling foods from all over the world. Oh yea, there are also places serving primarily hamburgers and fries or "American food" if that's what you want to call it. It's not like like in China where people categorize Chinese food versus foreign food. When I go to the Indian restaurant or buy hummus at the local supermarket, I'm not thinking about where it originated from. I'm just used to eating a diverse diet. So no, I never get tired of "my country's" cuisine because there's really no such thing.
Scandinavian:
That is exactly what I would have answered. Although I would have included a swing at TCM, which is always a good idea when talking about food in China !
I don't understand why you consider this a "situation". It is just a matter of fancying something different to eat. THIS IS NORMAL. I know in China where there is very little difference between any food it may be seen as a big deal but for people from other countries it is just a normal part of life. You must have been having a bad day if you felt the need to ask people such a stupid question.
