Q: Are you smiling everyday here?

Of course I am not smiling all day, but I am happy to say that I am having smiles everyday now. Not so when I first came to China.

Are you happier now, or when you first came here?

Are you happier here , or back home?

I am smiling literally all the time, the neighbours are afraid of me, I look like the Joker.

Yeh, ok, what can I say, sure, I think I smile quite a lot. Got a happy home life, the wife's a pretty funny sort. Had a joke with the security bloke on the way out this morning. Dunno if i'm happier than I was in London, i'm no less so though. The difference is I was getting bored back home. Here i'm challenged, mentally, and I like that. Always been kinda challenged but now i'm learning to read and speak Chinese so i'm really seriously mentally challenged.

Honestly I think it depends on YOUR mindset not the place itself, the outside world reflects you and it is you who after all decides how you channel your feeling good or bad either consciously or unconsciously but it's all you. Chin up smile more as it could represent that you're happy or smile less it you want as it prevents wrinkles, know what i mean? glass half full or empty stuff, it's a philosophical question in its root. very Zen...

I always like to smile when I'm in a crowd. At the very least everyone wonders what you've been up to and if your lucky they'll think your crazy too.

Stay safe, stay crazy!

I do smile every day here, after a long day of classes when I get back to the dorm and see two of my best friends: bathroom and bed!

But for real, I think I've been less happy since I moved to GZ. My first year in Shanghai was better, there was always something to do and I had a country mate with who I hung out a lot. Here, well, it could be the weather, food, classes, different people or just the atmosphere. I dunno exactly.

I do try to cheer myself up whenever I'm feeling particularly down, window shop or buy some extra unhealthy junk food. Tongue

As for the part if I'm happier here than home, depends. I'm more free to do what I want here, but I also miss my parents setting boundaries sometimes.

I smile about 350 days a year! It is hard to say where I am happier, but since I am here I need to be happy here.
