Q: Are youku and other Chinese video sites acting up for you?

Over the past week or so it seems something is happening to youku, 56.com and other Chinese video websites. Anyone else been noticing it's either not working or incredibly slow?

That has happened before. Sometimes the site just turns off. If the video is not going fast enough the trick is to fast forward it, because it seems like parts of the video gets loaded in different sections. I was watching a video that was over an hour long and it stopped three or four times. I just fast forwarded it a little bit and than I got another 40 minutes of view time. I had to repeat that process several times to watch the entire video but it's worth it if you really want to watch the video your viewing. mail

DaBen:

Over "an hour" long? And you had to do your fast forward trick that gets you 40 additional mins, "several times"? It's been a long day, are you saying you did it twice to get a full two hours of video and that's what you are calling several, or are you saying you just made up the numbers to make it sound like better advice?
