First of all: are you 15 years old ??? How can you ask her to be your girl-friend?? Surely you know that by now.  Secondly, it is never a good idea to date a work colleague, especially if things go wrong as they are likely to do if you haven't dated in China before. Most work contracts say that dating students an work colleagues is not an option here. If you are new to China, don't do it. If you are not new to China, you should know better.

Put a note in her locker.

Have a friend ask her to go with you.

Ask her over the phone.

mendicuz:

Leave a frog in her backpack.

Ride past her house on your bike incessantly.

Steal her hat and keep it away from her; give it back at your marriage together.

Follow her home every night. Hide in the bushes and behind light poles when she isn't looking. Use psycho-stalker spyglasses to learn her every move. Just watch out for the rabid bats flying overhead. Write PSYCHOTIC love poems about how you have a psycho-stalker shrine dedicated to her. Remember, this is China, the real world doesn't apply.

Start asking her out on dates. After the 2nd date, ask her to marry you. Buy her a car, a house, and a crimochina. For the right price, crimochina will take care of the rest of her needs since you're too cowardly to make a move. no ..

Failing that, grow a pair. If she agrees to a second date, she's probably already your girlfriend. Or something. Who cares about workplace dating? Just date her. wink.

Mixing work and love is a recipe for a disaster. Try to know her better, to be sure of your feelings and let her discover you. Invite her to do something, but keep it as a thing between friends, don't just try to move out of this boundary. She's not likely to friend-zone you, do not worry, that's how things work here. Then, if the love does not fade away and it's reciprocal, change job, and tell her why you did so. Love is about courage Wink

Unfortunately for you, Chinese teachers are only aroused by correct grammar and punctuation. Neglecting to capitalize your 'I's and this, "...if possible.hope anybody can give me..." is already a nail in the coffin.

Gather everyone in the school together for an important announcement and get on your knees and ask her out in front of everyone. She will love your courage. I wouldn't date a coworker, some days you will be fighting and work will be awful. But if you really want to go for it, just ask her out and later say maybe we can do this again. Don't be pushy and want to see her and call her all the time. Just see her when she can, eventually if its going to happen, she will be your girl friend.

remember this should be done secretly, rumours spread fast there!
good luck:)

Don't.  Not only are you mixing work with pleasure (assuming that is your goal) you are getting into a cross cultural relationship. Both of which you have implied you don't know about.

"ask her to be my girlfriend" Only Chinese people say that.  So you could ask her in Chinese.

Been there done that, dated a Chinese teacher 7 years ago, later found out she had Hepatitis B. Oh that was before my marriage proposal. Yeah I didn't really appreciate not being informed about it.. Lucky I had all my shots, so i was safe, yeah I left her, always inform your partners of any illness. If not they'll leave like I did. It does seem harsh, but I was upset.

Careful with thin girls out here, 40% of them are thin because of reason.. Ever wonder how they fit in size 23 to 24 waste line pants? Well, you do the math. Keep a look out for yellowish elbows on white skin, and maybe some yellowish around the eye's.  FACT: Hepatitis B keeps a person thin for life.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
