Is Beijing being a bit hard on others in the search for the missing plane?
Today news are that Chinese satellites have spotted something that may be the plane... they did so 4 days ago, but it is being shared now.
Ceijing has been very clear that they don't think the Malaysian authorities have been handling the incident correctly, but what about how China handles things like train crashes, the last bad one was first attempted to be a complete cover up, but the masterminds behind that plan didn't know that people have modern communication devices these days.
A big case of double standards ?
Also, what is with sending a giant task force to Kualu Lumpur ?
Out of the 239 people on board, 153 are Chinese citizens. I'd imagine the Chinese government would want to know the whys, hows and wheres. It's also not a Chinese plane, it's a Malaysian one. This adds to the worries since the Chinese don't know how well maintained the plane is even with Boeing claiming it was ok. The other issue is that the Malaysian side is not totally in control when in comes to disseminating information. They have the military and civil aviation sides giving conflicting reports, ministers giving unconfirmed reports and later retracting them, vehemently denying they ever spoke even when proof was given. It's sounds chaotic and no one knows who's in charge of the entire search and rescue operation. Of course the media doesn't help with journalists looking for the latest scoop. So it paints a very chaotic picture if you look at all the news from the beginning. Having a central command and control will eradicate most of these problems but everyone wants to be the first to spot the plane so in the end all you get is confusion. They ones who are suffering are the relatives of the passengers, till now they are fed a load of rubbish.

I agree, but isn't the problem with civil and military sources just being obfuscated even more by China chipping in as well.

Yes, with more people coming on it just complicates things. That's why they really need to come to an understanding on who is in charge and take control of the situation. At the moment, it appears to be the Malaysians but they don't seem to be up to the job. We have a saying where I come from......MALAYSIA BOLEH! It means Malaysia can! (Sarcasm intended)
Scandinavian:
Hmmm, Having spent only a couple of weeks of my life in Malaysia (not playing tourist) it does strike me as a far more capable place than e.g. China, almost at Korean level in terms of being able to do things right in the first attempt (I was there to help them do something right they had done wrong)
louischuahm:
Scan, man I tell you. Malaysia is just 30 minutes north of where I lived. We visit Malaysia like 10 times a year since it's so near. The things we see and hear would make you want to puke. Just a recent example, we have a water agreement that dates back to the 60s. In this agreement, the price of water was agreed and that if Malaysia does not review it by 1985 they would have waived their rights to any review. Just a couple of days ago, the Malaysian side came back, poker face and all, saying that they did not waive their rights. Singapore buys raw water from them, treats it and then sends it back for a pittance. Don't forget that the cost of water treatment costs an arm and a leg. Now they say they want to change the price and there are rumors that they may want to "retrieve" the treatment plant that was built for this purpose. Anyway, in a couple of years time Singapore will have completed the desalinization plants to get water from the seas. They can then do their own water treatment and bear it's obscene costs themselves. So you see, we understand them like no one else.
It seems that part of the problem to locate the (most likely sunk) plane is ... pollution. That patch of sea have so much flotsam and oil leaks, finding something specific is a headache.

Of course CCP is upset as shit: first potential mass killing of Chinese they're not responsible of since WW2.
You can be sure they'll bully the shit outta whoever done it with crybaby rhetoric until the end of times.
