Q: beijing extending visa
Is Beijing a good place to have your visa extended?
I live in Baoding and the PSB told me to go to Beijing to have it done.
I understand you have to have a large amount of money in your bank account in Beijing.
I am in China and want my visa extended for 30 - 90 days.
But I don't have a great amount in my bank account.
So will I have trouble getting it extended in Beijing?
Is there another city near Baoding that would be a better choice to have the visa extended?

Having a certain amount of money in your bank account is a national visa requirement which is the same in every city so it makes no difference if you apply in Beijing or in some tiny city out in the sticks. Your only hope of extending it without actually fulfilling the requirements is doing it through a visa agency but they will charge more and aren't always legal.
