Q: Is Beijing a relatively safe place to live in terms of earthquakes?

Earthquakes seem quite prevalent in China but I haven't heard of any in Beijing. Does that mean that Beijing is fairly earthquake-safe?

Though recent years haven't seen Beijing's buildings crumble to the ground, Beijing is located in an earthquake region, so the possibility does exist than an earthquake could occur. Why worry about this? When it is your time to die it will not matter where you are or what you are doing.

Personally, I just do not want to be flying when it is the pilot's turn to go.
